Whether you are in need of a pick-me-up or you're simply missing your regular skin therapy treatments you may have noticed your skin going through some unwanted changes. Irregular sleep, changes in diet and additional stress may be wreaking havoc on your skin.

Here are five simple at-home facials, designed around specific skin concerns, that can help maintain your skin until you are able to visit Victorian Cosmetic Institute again for your skin treatments.

Whether you have sensitive skin, dry skin, oily or pigmented skin we have an at-home facial solution tailored to your concerns.

Dry & Dehydrated skin

Step 1
Using Synergie UltraCleanse facial cleanser gently remove surface pollution, cell debris and makeup without over exfoliating or stripping the skin of natural oils. Mix a small amount of water and lather up solution then rinse with water.

Step 2
Apply a pea size amount Aspect Fruit Enzyme Mask and massage onto dry skin with dry fingertips. Leave on between 5 to 15 mins then rinse off with water. This potent antioxidant-rich fruit enzyme mask is designed to eliminate dead skin build up and dissolve excessively peeling skin. 

Step 3
Apply a thin layer of Aspect Hydrating Mask all over your face and neck. It can be applied for a minimum of 20 minutes or for maximum results, it can be left on overnight. This Hydrating mask is excellent for dry and stressed skin with anti-ageing ingredients including Hyaluronic Acid, Shea Butter, Olive oil and Grape Seed Extract. 

Step 4
Smooth a small amount of Cosmedix Surge serum over your face and neck. This hyaluronic acid serum dramatically boosts skin hydration, plumps appearance of skin and helps protect skin from trans-epidermal water loss.

Step 5

For an added hydration boost you can apply a thin layer of Aspect Super Moisturising Complex as the last step in your routine. 

Oily/Acne Skin  

Step 1
Dispense one pump of Cosmedix Purity Clean to wet hands and apply to your face using circular motions to thoroughly cleanse, then rinse with water. This cleanser is ideal for oily and acne prone skin. With added aromatic peppermint essential oil for its cooling effect, and Lactic Acid to gently exfoliate and deep clean pores.

Step 2 
Gently pat your skin dry with a towel and apply Cosmedix Detox Mask evenly over your entire face, avoiding the eye area. Leave on for 20 minutes as the charcoal, kaolin clay works to draw out impurities and congestion from clogged pores.

Step 3
Remove mask using tepid water and pat dry skin. Apply Cosmedix Clarity Serum which helps to exfoliate, purify and prevents breakouts and blemishes. 

Step 4
Complete your routine by applying Synergie Hydrogel, a lightweight hydrating gel formulating with pore reducing botanicals, suitable for oily skin and enlarged pores. 

Ageing Skin

Step 1
Apply a small amount of Synergie Cleansing Dust to hands then add a small amount of water and mix together to activate the product. Apply to face using circular motions then rinse with water. This cleansing dust includes natural rice bran exfoliants to ensure a deeply purifying experience that is both effective and gentle on the skin. 

Step 2
Massage Cosmedix Restore Mask into your skin and leave for 15 minutes, then rinse with water. Restore Mask is a moisture-rich mask that visually plumps skin to smooth out wrinkles and refines skin texture.  

Step 3
Apply a small amount of Synergie SuperSerum+ over the whole face and neck. Containing DNA repairing peptides and marine biotechnology this an essential serum to target visible signs of ageing. 

Step 3
To address signs of ageing around the delicate eye area apply a small pea sized amount of Synergie ImproveEyes Night with your ring finger around the eye area. An anti-ageing eye cream designed to restore, hydrate and nourish. Peptide technology diminishes the appearance of lines, restores moisture and reduces puffiness and dark circles. 

Step 4
Finalise your routine by smoothing on a layer of Cosmedix Emulsion, an intense hydrating moisturiser containing a soothing blend of nature's perfect hydrators to quench dry skin and provide the ultimate hydration and moisture. 

Sensitive/Redness Skin 

Step 1
A gentle low foaming cleanser is recommended for sensitive skin or skin suffering from redness. Apply a small pump of Cosmedix Benefit Clean to wet hands and use circular motions to cleanse your face, then rinse with water. Repeat this step as a double cleanse to ensure skin is fresh and clean. 

Step 2
Massage Aspect Probiotic Sleep Mask into skin and leave on your skin for 20 minutes then rinse with warm water. 

Step 3
Apply a small amount of Osmosis MD Calm to your skin to calm inflammation whilst repairing the protective barrier and rebuilding the dermis. 

Step 4
Smooth one pump of Synergie Dermacalm over your face to further calm and sooth inflamed skin. 

Pigmentation

Step 1
Apply one pump of Dermaceutic Advanced Cleanser to wet hands and use circular motions to cleanse over the entire face. Do this step twice as a double cleanse to ensure skin is fresh and clean. 

Step 2
To slough away dead skin cells and inject a brightening cocktail of Vitamin B and Vitamin C apply Cosmedix Glow Bamboo Brightening Mask over the entire face (avoid the eye area) and leave it on for 15 minutes. Rinse clean with water.

Step 3
To further fight pigmentation, and prevent new pigmentation from forming, apply Aspect Dr Complete Pigment Plus Serum to your skin. With Tranexamic Acid, Niacinamide, RadianSkinTM and Tyrostat-11TM it helps to lighten hormonal marks and generally uneven skin tone.

Step 4
Finish off by moisturising with Aspect Phytostat 9. Suitable for all skin types with it's included antioxidants it helps to brighten and even out the complexion.
